Authors

For all our followers who read German –  have a look at this enlightening article by Thomas Anz , Professor of German at Marburg University and General Editor of literaturkritik.de on the problems and chances of literary criticism on the internet:

Literaturkritik in Zeiten des Internets – Thesen zu ihrer Verteidigung und einige Bedenken : literaturkritik.de

Although this post doesn’t touch on Austrian Studies topics directly, it is still concerned with the media we use to disseminate information and to communicate our research here at austrianresearchuk.

Thomas Anz makes a few very valid and very insightful remarks about the chances and the perils of having to transfer an entire discourse on to another medium and certainly adds new impulses to an ongoing discussion.

How do you see the chances and pitfalls for academic discourse and litrary criticism on the net – especially if you are working in an intrnationally comparably small field like we are in Austrian Studies? Share your thoughts here!
